How does it work?

Its simple. One smoothie per day, for 30 days. It can be used as a compliment to your ordinary diet.

Each day, you can set a reminder to get your daily recipe. Our 5-day shopping lists, along with checklist style shopping cart, make buying the ingredients youll need easy.

As part of the challenge, we also invite you to join our private Facebook group where we encourage everyone to share pictures of their smoothies and stories of how theyre getting along with the challenge.

The smoothies can help boost your immune system, energise you and even help shed excess weight. Each one has a detailed description of the health benefits of the different ingredients. We also have a section covering additional superfoods you can add to your smoothies.

In total, inside the app youll find 120 simple green smoothie recipes. When you complete the challenge, you can either re-start it, or dream up your own adventure, by browsing through the smoothie menu we have.

Here is a selection of the 120 smoothie recipes you’ll have access to:
+ Skin Booster Smoothie
+ Super Inflammation Buster
+ Clean Green Energy Smoothie
+ Peach Perfect Ginger Delight
+ Antiviral Orange Booster
+ Spiced Iron Rich Smoothie
+ Vitamin K Booster

To prepare the smoothies youll need a blender. Weve rounded up our top selections inside the app.

When we launched the 30 Day Green Smoothie Challenge app in May, 2014, it hit the top of the Food and Drink charts in 52 countries. This fully updated new edition makes it easier than ever to take the challenge and discover our green smoothie recipes.

Pros and cons of Green Smoothies by Young & Raw app for iPhone and iPad

Green Smoothies by Young & Raw app good for

This is a great app with lots of useful information and wonderful recipes!!!!
Just started the 30 day challenge. Turns out I like it even more than the 14 day juice challenge
Nice interface and good recipes. Maybe go an translate it to different languages...
Gorgeous photos, easy to use, delicious smoothies! What more do you need?
Fast, simple, and delicious smoothie recipes. Makes it really easy to get enough greens that would otherwise be more challenging to consume on a regular basis. Highly recommended!
Looks amazing especially on my iPad 4! The colours just come alive and make you wanna whip up green smoothies all day long! Love that I can easily access the recipes and shopping list, plus I can redo the challenge anytime :)

Some bad moments

Beautiful photos & health info, but the smoothies are pretty repetitive without much unique ingredients. Wish it had nutrition information like calories
The app itself is very well organized with easy to follow recipes, a weekly shopping list, great photos and descriptions, etc. The recipes, however, taste terrible. I mean, totally awful with a grimaced face followed by a coffee or milk or beer chaser awful. I made it to day 3 and gave up. I dont mind adding some greens to a smoothie, but the problem with these recipes is that the greens overpower the taste of the drink to the point of it being undrinkable. Do you like cilantro? (I dont.). Day 1s taste screamed CILANTRO!!! and it was like drinking a strong salsa. Do you like cucumbers? (Theyre okay but cant say I seek them out.). Day 2s taste screamed CUCUMBER!!!! in spite of adding strawberries and blueberries. Day 3 was baby choy and banana, but...well, you get the idea... The next three hours after drinking these concoctions you get to taste them over and over from the burping. Week 1s grocery bill for the smoothies was $45. I think Ill stick to drinking Naked brand smoothies. Yes, theyre high in (natural) sugar but drinkable. And cheaper. And probably not as healthy. But at least I drink them whereas the drinks from this app are all going down the disposal. Anyone in the market for a barely used Nutribullet Pro?
This has helped me rediscover and use my vitamix and made me feel great!
Overall I like the functionality of the app and the way that information is organized. There are two improvements Id like to see: 1. Have a way to sync the app on iPhone and iPad. I use the iPad daily to follow the recipes, but when it comes to the shopping lists, I have to go through all the same steps on my iPhone to have the information with me in a store. 2. Allow vertical orientation view on the iPad! Otherwise, I think this app is great, and I mostly dog the recipes! Thanks for all you do!!
I know that there are a lot of greens and no added sugars. I was ready for that, however it seems if you dont have a top notch blender there is no point to buying this app. A smoothy that tastes kinda rough I can make it through just fine. Having to chew pieces of celery as fine as hair...is awful. The 30 day Challenge became a chore and I just had to stop. If I get get a better blender I will try again
The shopping cart is really awesome so you are buying for 5 smoothies at a time and no waste. The smoothies are pretty big so be prepared
